Soft Not Squishy

Consider the softboy. He wears flannels and skate shoes but is neither a lumberjack nor a skater. He shows you his sensitive side, promising that this is something ‘special,’ but it isn’t. This show seeks to examine the softboy as a concept. Who is he? And why won’t he return my texts?? We seek to give listeners grappling with these questions a musical space where they can ease their anxieties about modern love. We’d promise our listeners answers but if we had them, we probably wouldn’t have been left on read for the twentieth time.

Soft not Squishy hopes to study the softboy––not because we can’t stop thinking about him (we’re only lying to ourselves here)––but because his confusing existence is a nagging reminder of how confusing relationships today can be. We do not claim to be authorities on the matter but can certainly choose to jam out `while we conduct a treasure hunt in the emotional minefield that is modern love.
