Pacific Standard Time

In short: A Cali native's evolving indie pop love letter to the west coast, sunny days, walk signals, and optimism.

    At length:

When I moved to New Haven from Los Angeles, I, like countless others from far away, felt a longing for home. One-way streets, jaywalking, seasons, snow were all foreign to me. Seeking out and listening to the sweet sultry vibes of indie pop and rock and lo-fi brought me back to a comfortable pace of life that I knew.

Now, these little things aren't foreign to me. In fact, my life in New Haven is more familiar to me than the one I led back in LA. But that doesn't make me miss LA any less. It just feels, now, that "my coast," "my city," "my home" are all two places at once.

The reality is that things here--wherever that may be, to you--just aren't the same as home--wherever that may be, to you.

PST isn't a case for west coast supremacy. It's not a profession of longing for the physical location of Los Angeles, California. It's a glimpse at my part-time existence in a more temperate, relaxed time zone, steeped in nostalgia and hope for sunny days to come--and I want to share that side of my being with you. So, tune in for some laid-back sun-soaked indie melodies, and tunes from up-and-comers in one of the world's major musical epicenters.
