No Wrong Notes

No Wrong Notes is a WYBC institution, and this semester marks my farewell season. I reflect upon endings, say my goodbyes, and try to play all of my favorite music I haven't played yet!

When the show premiered in December 2018, No Wrong Notes operated on a two-week rotation. The first of every two episodes was entirely dedicated to the wonderful world of jazz, with weekly focuses on era, style, mood, concept, and/or instrumentation, while the second featured a collection of songs across all genres (pop, rock, soul, hip-hop, R&B, classical, folk, alternative/indie, musical theatre, movie soundtracks, and more) that all pertain to a unifying theme. In the remote broadcasting era of Fall 2020 - Spring 2021, the show grew less structured and more spontaneous, featuring thematic series, eclectic artist showcases, and interviews with fan favorite Solo Smit. Last semester (Fall 2021), I used the show as a platform to present a ten-part lecture series tracing the most important histories I've learned through three years as a History major here at Yale.
