Honky Talkin'

Country music has been wrongly marginalized in the greater music community. Too frequently people proudly say ‘I’ll listen to anything but country music’. These people wrongly simplify the genre to soulless love stories about trucks and tractors. However, Country is not a monolith. We hope to explore all of the various subgenres. Including country folk artists such as John Denver, bluegrass from those like Old Crow Medicine Show, Southern Rock from the Allman Brother Band, the occasional “dreaded” pop country from artists like Tyler Childers, and of course the classic honky tonk tunes from artists like George Strait and Hank Williams. To us, there is nothing quite like the ring of a steel guitar or the sweet shrill of a fiddle, and our ultimate goal is to use this station to spread the funky honkey tonky vibe that we appreciate.
