Cultural Phenomenon

Cultural Phenomenon, hosted by musician Andrew Evren and comedian Matt Thekkethala, is a show about ideas. ALL ideas. Important, life-changing ideas. Stupid, useless ideas. Ridiculous, irrational ideas. Relevant, challenging ideas. The thoughts that you’ve sealed in the back of your head. The philosophies you’ve developed while getting high. The things you think about when you’re alone. The things you’ve refused to Google. Your groundless suppositions. Your informed hypotheses. Your weirdest and most absurd beliefs.

Every episode, 1-2 guests from Yale’s student body, faculty, or the New Haven community will come onto our show to present their weird, original theories and ideas about life, society, God, politics, and more. Matt and Andrew will then propose a theory of their own. What follows is a stimulating, amusing discussion infused with our own alt rock selections, artist recommendations from guests, and laughter.
