Steve Forbes spoke in Linsly-Chittenden Hall on Thursday about the economy and the nation’s political climate. Forbes offered predictions for the upcoming elections as well as a rigorous defense of free markets and the gold standard. The lecture was sponsored by the William F. Buckley Jr. Program, the Young America’s Foundation, the Federalist Society, and the Irving Brown Lecture Series. Forbes is the editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine and CEO of Forbes, Inc, and was a Republican candidate for President in 1996 and 2000.
