ECAC Third Place Game: No. 10/11 Yale Men’s Hockey vs. No. 1/2 Quinnipiac

Yale fell 5–0 in yesterday’s ECAC semifinal versus Union, but they don’t get much of a chance to recoup. The country’s top team, Quinnipiac, awaits the Bulldogs today in what may be the most interesting consolation game of all time. Yale will make the NCAA Tournament with a win — any other scenario leaves the Elis’ tournament fate up to the result of other conference tournaments. Union and Brown effectively face off for a tournament spot in the ECAC Championship at 7 pm EDT (no WYBC coverage).

Coverage of the third-place game begins at 3:40 pm EDT with an interview with Yale head coach Keith Allain. The puck drops shortly after 4 on WYBC-AM 1340 and Konrad Coutinho ’13 and Evan Frondorf ’14 have the call of today’s important matchup.
