60 MINUTES BETWEEN YALE AND A FIRST-EVER TITLE — BUT LOCAL RIVAL QUINNIPIAC ALSO LOOKS TO BRING THE TROPHY BACK TO NEW HAVEN

That much is clear — the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Championship will go to a New Haven team . Will Quinnipiac finish its run through the tournament as the number-one overall seed, or will Yale complete its magical journey as the perennial underdog? It’s surely the biggest moment in New Haven sports history, and the national spotlight is shining on these two schools just miles apart, although this final game is being played at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

WYBC will have complete coverage of this historic matchup, beginning with a special 90-minute pregame show beginning at 5:30 pm EDT. The puck drops shortly after 7 pm, and the broadcast in its entirety can be heard on WYBC-AM 1340 and WYBC.com/listen. Our crew in Pittsburgh includes: Konrad Coutinho, Evan Frondorf, Nell Meosky, John Ryan, and Chris Hudson.
